SUPPORT FUTURE CHEFS

Future Chefs welcomes investments of all sizes. One hundred percent of your contribution ensures that Future Chefs continues to prepare motivated youth for quality early employment and post secondary educational opportunities in the culinary field.

WAYS TO GIVE

Gifts are tax-deductible as provided by both federal and state tax laws for each year in which contributions are made. Gifts should be made to Future Chefs–TSNE.

  • Cash: Cash gifts are the most common form of support and entitle the investor to an income tax charitable deduction in the year in which the gift was made.

  • Securities: Gifts of appreciated securities provide substantial tax savings for the investor. Capital gains taxes are avoided and gifts are tax deductible at fair market value. For more information about the stock transfer process, contact Toni Elka at tonielka@futurechefs.net.

  • Matching Gifts: Many employers will match the charitable contributions of their employees, as well as spouses of employees and retired employees. These matches may be dollar-for-dollar or greater. Please check with your company's human resources department for a matching gift form, complete your brief section of the form, and mail it with your gift. You will be recognized for the full amount of your own gift plus the corporate match.

  • Gifts in Honor or Memory: If you wish honor or remember someone special, make a gift to Future Chefs.

Our funds are managed by Third Sector New England, www.tsne.org, an umbrella 501c3 for small social justice organizations like ours. Tax deductible gifts may be made out to Future Chefs-TSNE and sent to us at Future Chefs, 681 Main Street, 2-4, Waltham, MA 02451.

VOLUNTEER

Future Chefs volunteers and pro bono supporters contribute to our students and our organization in truly important and cost saving ways. Designing our logo and website (slated for early 2009 launch), providing IT services and equipment, working in the office, editing our materials, judging competitions, mentoring students, donating supplies and advising and supporting our organizational development efforts contribute greatly to our mission and financial bottom line.

If you have any interest in volunteering to support the work of Future Chefs, please contact Toni Elka at tonielka@futurechefs.net
